Filling up of the post of Director (Regional Centres)
Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, has its three Regional Centres, viz. Eastern Regional Centre at Varanasi; (ii) North Eastern Regional Centre at Gauwahati; and (iii) Southern Regional Centre at Bangaluru, invites applications in the prescribed format for the post of Director (Regional Centre.) in the consolidated salary of Rs. 75,000/- pm to be filled up on Contract basis initially for a period of one years from officers working in Ministry/ Deptt. of Central Government/ Autonomous Organisation/ Public sector undertaking having-
(a) Qualification and Experience: (i) An eminent Scholar with published work of high quality and actively engaged in research work. 10 years’ experience of teaching and/or research experience of guiding research at doctoral level. OR An outstanding Scholar of high repute who has made significant contribution to knowledge in the concerned regions (East India/ Northeast India & South India). (ii) Experience in office management/ supervisory capacity in the Central/State/Autonomous institutions/ Universities including 5 years experience in a post in the scale of Rs. 12000-16500 or equivalent posts.
Desirable: (i) Experience of Managing projects/ holding of exhibitions/ seminars/ conferences. (ii) Thorough knowledge of Indian Arts & Culture
(b) Age: Preferably below 65 years.
